The Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is in the Mazzetti Family DNA from three generations.
Felice Mazzetti (1901-1081) had in facts known and appreciated the product immediately after the second world war, when, during a trip to Vignola (where he was used to purchase the typical cherries for his distillery), he tasted the specialty for the first time.
His son, Franco, inherited the passion for the product and started its production together with his son Cesare who, since the mid of '70s, perceived the product’s potential for the foreign markets in general and for the Anglo-Saxon ones, in particular.
So that, Mazzetti l’Originale became, starting from 1976, one of the most widely distributed brand for Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in the USA.
This was the starting of an escalation which, in the '80s, led the brand to be very well positioned in Europe and to conquer unexplored markets such as Australia and Japan.
The commercial developing was followed by continuous factory renewal and enlarging. Initially based only in ancient building of “Le Cantine Motta” in Cavezzo (MODENA), today Mazzetti l'Originale is boasting two big plants (always in Cavezzo) and an aging department which grows year after year.
Nowadays, Mazzetti is well known and appreciated by consumers of over 40 countries and boast cooperation with some of the most important fine food importers.
The respect for the product and its spreading on the emergent markets are the Mazzetti’s mission for the incoming years.
